Welcome to Wilberforce Road Sports Ground, home of Cambridge City Hockey Club.   

The last few years have been difficult for many of us, but at CCHC, we have been focusing on helping people get back onto the pitch. That has included organising a number of summer leagues with other local clubs, developing our Youth Section (now well over 450 members between the ages of 4 and 18) and promoting Back-to-Hockey, Walking Hockey and Flyerz. It is fantastic to see so many people playing hockey again!

With Cambridge having lost both of their first two matches 4-1, they will want to put those early season jitters behind them and find their feet in the league. The team have been training well and are sure that it is only a matter of time until everything comes together and the results follow. Unbeaten Slough are fighting at the other end of the table on four points and only two points behind league leaders Canterbury. 

Last season there was only one goal scored by either team in their two games combined, but a valiant 0-0 draw on the last day of the season saw City gain the point that they needed to secure their place in the league for this term. That recent history may prove the inspiration for another closely contested game.
